Katie is a proud immigrant who embodies resilience, ambition, and the desire to provide financial stability for her family. Katie has lived the majority of her life in district 6 and was always proud to call it her home. She is a graduate of Rutgers University and has earned her masters from Harvard University. For over a decade in the financial sector, Katie worked alongside diverse teams to navigate complex challenges, and to deliver impactful results. Katie is focused on building a more sustainable future - one where communities thrive, businesses grow responsibly, and opportunities are accessible to everyone. She believes that real change starts with understanding the needs of others and working together to create solutions that last.

Katie is passionate about supporting working class families, recognizing them as the backbone of our economy and the foundation of strong communities. Her passion is rooted in her own upbringing, where she grew up watching her parents work tirelessly to provide for their family and to create opportunities for her to succeed. Their commitment to hard work and the sacrifices they made fostered the deep respect that Katie has for the working class.

From an early age, Katie understood the challenges that working families face and the strength it takes to overcome them. Her mission is to uplift the working class families through better wages, affordable healthcare, access to quality education, and pathways to economic security.

Driven by the values instilled in her by her parents’ hard work, Katie believes that every family deserves the resources and support to succeed. She firmly believes that when working class families succeed, we all succeed.

Katie believes that affordability is crucial to building strong, resilient communities. It’s not just about making life easier - it’s about creating equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of socioeconomic backgrounds. She believes that the key to creating equal opportunities for everyone lies in fighting for affordability in every aspect of life - housing, healthcare, education, and basic living costs. For Katie, fighting for affordability means creating an environment where housing and healthcare are treated as human rights.

When families are burdened by high costs, whether it's rent, medical bills, or the rising price of education, they are forced to focus on survival rather than growth. This not only limits their personal opportunities but also affects the chance for success. On the other hand, when affordability is prioritized, families can focus on what truly matters - educating their children, advancing in their careers, and living healthy lives. Katie is committed to fighting for affordability for everyone.

When Congress prioritizes the economy, it ensures that our country remains competitive, resilient, and capable of addressing challenges at home and abroad.

HEALTHCARE

We should all be able to access our healthcare system as members of one of the strongest international superpowers. The inability to schedule a simple check-up shouldn’t result in a life-or-death situation.

HOUSING

In New Jersey, homelessness has been climbing and many of those that can afford a roof over their heads can only afford to rent.

IMMIGRATION

Our nation was founded on and built by the strength of the immigrant population. I believe that an open immigration policy, when done right, will truly help to build our community and bring it forward.
